Trauma-informed Case Reporting (Accredited)

1. Who is this training for?

This training session is suitable for those who work or volunteer, whose work may potentially bring them into contact with victims of Modern Slavery. This includes interested community members and members in faith groups. e.g. local authorities, police, services, charities in the community, faith groups.

2. How long are the training sessions?

Each product splits into 2 x 90 minute sessions and both are delivered on either a morning or afternoon with a 30-minute break. Please check the time slots allocated to the dates.

3. How is the training delivered?

The following products are available online in a virtual classroom setting via Microsoft Teams. The link is located on your learner account. You need to ensure you have good wifi access, settings compatible with MS Teams (check your workplace server)  and an up to date internet browser.

4. What level of training is this?

The training is accredited by CPD UK Accreditation level. Those who have opted to evidence this are required complete a pre and post evaluation and attain a pass mark. The pre-evaluation must be completed before the session starts. Those who are successful are issued certification for 3 CPD UK points. This requires consent for your email to participate which was at the point of booking. This training is based on the delegate having a foundational knowledge of Modern Slavery awareness.

5. What else is provided for the delegate?

In your learning account you have access to all that you need for the training and download it in readiness for the training. Please print off the resources as your device may be difficult to view the content. You will have the following downloadable documents:-

QR codes will be presented at certain points throughout your virtual session, having a smart phone may help give you a smoother experience at these times.

6. Who delivers the training?

The training session is delivered by Alister Bull, Hope for Justice training manager. He draws from the experience of those working with victims of modern slavery within Hope for Justice and supporting them out of exploitation.

7. What is the training style?

The training utilises varied learning mediums such as videos, PowerPoint style presentation, group discussions and case studies.

Objectives

The Learner will be able to at the end of the training to 

  • Identify what trauma informed case reporting is for victims/survivors of MSHT 

  • Assess what makes a strong personal story for victims/survivors of MSHT in trauma informed case reporting   

  • Analyse trauma informed case reports to understand the principles of relaying a victim's story 

Certificate

By completing/passing this course, you will attain the certificate CPD HfJ 3 hour certificate
